» Passport to Prosperity
Passport to Prosperity – a provincial campaign designed to increase the number of employers participating in student work experience programs. Passport to Prosperity is being managed locally by the Industry-Education Council (IEC) of Hamilton.

What are Employers Expected to Do?

    Provide a safe working and learning environment

    Direct and guide students' learning through on-site supervision, help students function as an integral part of the team

    Facilitate challenging learning experiences that will encourage personal growth and develop career goals

What Support Will You Receive?
Our School Staff will:

    Assess student and placement to ensure a good match

    Organize and conduct pre-placement orientation to prepare students including Job Maintenance and Health and Safety

    Manage administrative tasks including: WSIB (covered by Ministry of Education if the student is not receiving wages) and evaluation

    Consult regularly with employers, supervisors, and students to ensure a successful experience
